Festa del Pane (Bread Festival) is an event full of surprises, for young and old people, on a journey through the history of bread that will tickle your palate and intellect.

Every two years in Savigliano, the food that more than any other represents the spirit of the Italian families is celebrated: bread.

Festa del Pane (Bread Festival) is an opportunity to discover new things and have fun for people of all ages, a curious journey through the history of bread. Throughout the weekend, the old town centre is transformed into a large open-air laboratory to welcome commercial exhibitors, events, workshops, and tastings, all of which are united by the re-discovery of appeasing art. In short, bread for all tastes and for all senses, which you can look at, taste, knead, tell, and listen to.

Festa del Pane (Bread Festival) is not just food; on the contrary, it is also music and entertainment for all ages.

The areas of the event

Oven area "MANI IN PASTA!"

For the entire duration of the event it will be possible to see the bakers at work and talk with them, from 9.00 to 24.00 on Saturday 1 October and from 9.00 to 20.00 on Sunday 2 October.

The bakers of the Cuneo Bakers Association and the Cuneo Confartigianato Association will have their "hands on the dough", transforming the Grano Piemonte flour from Mulino Gabutti, and the flour from Molini Bongiovanni into crunchy delights!

THE DIFFUSED BAKERY AND GASTRONOMIC EXHIBITORS

Numerous quality exhibitors will delight the audience of the Bread Festival!

The big news of this year is also the pavilion dedicated to the bread, come and taste the tastiest combinations of bread and gastronomic delights!

"FANTASY CORNER" area

In Piazza del Popolo, for adults and children on Saturday and Sunday, you can play with the beautiful "Ludobus" by the Cooperative Proposal 80 and the "Circobus", by the Associazione Fuma che n’duma. Sunday afternoon, from 4 to 6.30 pm, let your children participate in the Happy Meal® creative workshops with the McDonald's hostesses: make-up for children, surprises, guaranteed fun for adults, as well as a snack based on fresh fruit, McCafé sweets and organic juices in tasting, while stocks last.

THE INN OF BREAD

the Multifunctional Wing will host the "Locanda del Pane", where it will be possible to have lunch and dinner while savoring the typical products of the area, reinterpreted by Catering Eventi e Sapori, a unique gastronomic experience of its kind!

Excellent dishes themed with the event and a location completely set up for the occasion, are the perfect match for a gastronomic weekend with all the trimmings!

In an event like the Bread Festival, street food and craft breweries certainly can't be missing!

Come and enjoy a lunch or dinner on the first weekend of October!

You can choose from numerous proposals: Ligurian focaccia, farinata, hamburgers, sandwiches with Bra sausage, fried fish, fried dumplings, arancini, Sicilian desserts, ice cream and babà!

Marching Band: 7 bakers and a clumsy boy turn out to be 8 musicians and unleash music and gags!

From 3.00 pm in Piazza del Popolo - The Errant Kitchen

Between the clown and the commedia dell’arte, two cooks travel with their wacky vehicle, a hybrid between a kitchen and a ship on wheels, and create a journey in stages in which to feed the imagination. Along the way, the kitchen spreads ethnic music and soap bubbles, while the two interact with the public, offer "appetizers of stories", they declaim poems and tell of travels, of fantastic countries, of migrations of peoples, of food and dreams, in search of a place to stop and "cook" their stories.
